School Readiness Program

Are you considering Preschool or concerned that your child may face challenges when starting school? Mosaic Minds Academy prepares your child for the school environment through social interaction, structure, and basic learning skills. It’s a great way to incorporate a customized school program into a child’s therapy plan if you feel that school readiness is a concern. Our program follows a classroom routine and structure with 1:1 support with an individualized program that is managed by the Behavior Therapy team with collaborative efforts from the Speech and Occupational Therapy teams.

When is the School Readiness Program offered?
Classroom times occur 9:00am–12:00pm and 1:00pm–4:00pm Monday through Thursday. During the 3 hours, a Lead-Therapy facilitator will act as the classroom teacher to direct the classroom activities, learners, and their Behavior Technicians.
Are There Different Levels of the School Readiness Program?
There are 3 levels of the program. Levels 1-3 are each 3 hours, with both morning and afternoon sessions. Skill levels increase with level advancement beginning with Level 1 and growing into Scholars. Report cards for the School Readiness Program are completed on a quarterly basis to show skills that each learner has gained over time and will contain inclusion criteria for the next-level group
How Does Progression Look for Learners as They Gain Skills?
Checklists are completed on a quarterly basis to access skills that each learner has gained overtime. Each checklist will be based on inclusion criteria for the next level up (e.g., learner in Level2 – based on inclusion criteria for Scholars).
Is There an Additional Cost to the School Readiness Program?
The School Readiness Program is a group-instructed extension of your child’s current ABA therapy program and insurance coverage. There is no additional cost. We are more than happy to discuss any questions you may have regarding our program or determining whether or not the School Readiness Program might be right for your child. We accept a variety of insurance plans. Please call our office to discuss coverage provided by your specific plan or to explore alternative payment options.
